Johnson Controls (JCI), a global leader in smart buildings, faced a growing need for highly-trained HVAC & Fire Suppression employees, with job openings expected to rise by over 35,000 in the next decade. To address this, JCI’s California region sought to develop a Youth Talent Development Program that would prepare students for successful careers while meeting their recruitment needs. Recognizing the complexities of school partnerships, they collaborated with GPS Education Partners in 2022.
